Here’s a few bands we have been listening to this week and have been really enjoying.

Nuke On Route.

The Dead Batteries.

The Extinguishers.

These bands smell pure punk, they sing songs that are serious as well as a few that are tongue in cheek, we love ‘em and they are awesome. Check ‘em out and crank the juice up high!

Advertising in Deci Belle

Putting in an ad is really simple, you e-mail us the info, we place it in and people see it and all for FREE.
We do not create Deci-Belle to line our pockets like greedy little piggies, we do it to give the punks a rag to entertain and to inform.

If you are seeking a band or a band member, have an up-coming gig you want to let everybody know about, want to sell an instrument or clothing, have an up-coming album you want to let people know about and how they can lay their hands on it, any merchandise you sell for the fans, or even an event that your organising let us know.
E-mail us all the information and we will do our best to fit everything in.
For e-mail information see the right side of blog.

Regards and respect, the Deci-Belle team.

Error…Error…Error!

Unfortunately, January Deci-Belle will be delayed in getting to you all. Due to a massive PC error which cannot be helped we are working on fixing it to retrieve all the tip top stuff that goes into Deci-Belle but only time will tell if we are successful in our feat.
We expect to have it running and back in order by the 20th so fingers crossed we will be published two Deci-Belle issues at the same time, Jan and Feb.
We also learned a huge lesson in ‘back everything you do up!’ lol.
We apologise for the delay but fear not, we will slap you on the a$se with it soon we guarantee it!

Regards and respect, the Deci-Belle team.

One of the team will get back to you within 24 hours with further information.

How Deci Belle Was Born

Posted in Punk, Punk DIY, Rag, Zine on 16/02/2009 by decibelleuk

Deci-Belle started off with an idea we had after seeing another ‘zine, we had a look through it and thought ‘wow, this is pretty naff’. From there it transpired into conversations of what we would include, why and what would be really interesting about that topic. Hence how Deci-Belle was born. When we started the DIY ‘zine we didn’t think it would get much interest where we are located as it is only a small town with only a handful of punks living here. However, to our surprise the first issue we put out was really popular, we had masses of mail and plenty of feedback on what was good and what wasn’t. We began seeing the ‘zine in places we were travelling to for gigs, so it was a great feeling to know that people had taken it to their town and had given other people the opportunity to read it by putting it around other pubs for us. We were eager to receive every readers feedback on what their thoughts were of our ‘zine. Once we did, we completely changed the ‘zine into what the readers demanded and not what we thought should go into the content. It officially became the readers ‘zine, they got to choose what went in, who they wanted to see or hear about in the content and who we should interview, etc. Now that we have had a few issues out and the demand grew stronger with the continual growth of Deci-Belle, printing costs began rising into silly amounts demanded from our press guy, we decided that we should finally cave in and become available on-line by creating an E- Zine. So as of November 2008, our ‘zine became printed and posted, giving everyone the opportunity to read what other readers have sent to us!

Deci-Belle was created to make people laugh, have a rant and tell everyone what gig’s were happening and today it’s become something of a magazine more than a ‘zine. Deci-Belle is a ‘zine like no other, stuffed full with; Insane Insomniac, Underground Hero, a Gig Guide, Dr. Alco, Graffiti, Band Blast, Jukebox, Rant, Album Review, and heaps more. Pick up a copy and have a look through there is literally something for everyone, no matter what sense of humour you possess there will be one part that will have you pissing your pants laughing, great band interviews from some of the best British bands around as well as some overshores scrum, as well as much more . We all enjoy putting the ‘zine out each month and look forward to people’s feedback on our work!

Welcome to a new home of Deci-Belle ‘Zine. Here you will find updates, interviews, some sections from the ‘zine, news, features and lots more. Keeping you in the loop of what is going on in the punk scene on a daily basis and hopefully making you laugh.

We work hard to keep you informed of upcoming gigs, upcoming album releases, what the albums are like once they hit the streets, what gigs we went to and how the bands performed, what we’re listening to on the jukebox, what bands in the scene have to say for themselves and much much more! We aim to please.

The Deci-Belle team work hard but definitely play harder, we’re keeping it DIY, keeping it punk but most of all keeping it FREE!!!

Enjoy!
